The temperature on the campus of The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa might have been rather warm on the morning of May 30th, but that didn’t stop a great graduation portrait session from happening. I had the pleasure of doing a shoot with Emily, a recent graduate in Alabama’s theater department.
Emily was a delight to work with and had a lot of great ideas for her graduation portrait session. We incorporated Denny Chimes and The President’s mansion, but we also made use of locations such as Gorgas Library, The Gorgas House, Rowand Johnson Hall, and Woods Quad.
It was great getting to shoot at The Gorgas House and Woods Quad as I don’t often get back there for graduation sessions. Woods Quad, especially, is a lovely spot on campus, and Emily made sure to incorporate the great pieces of art and sculptures that call the Quad home.
I’d like to wish Emily nothing but the best in her life after graduation! I also want to send a big work of thanks her way for choosing DSmithImages to do this graduation session. It was a wonderful experience.
