August is here, and that means school is about to be back in session. For incoming members of the class of 2020, there are a lot of things to take care of as they get ready for their final year of high school. One of those things is arranging a senior portrait session to mark this big milestone in their lives.
DSmithImages recently had the pleasure of working with a high school senior who did just that.
I was able to photograph Maci’s senior portrait session in and around downtown Birmingham, Alabama, including the Railroad Park area.
She even brought along her four-legged Marlowe so she could be included in the session as well.
The session started at one of my favorite spots to the photograph in the Magic City, and that is the area around 2nd and 1st Avenue North.
There are so many great brick backdrops to use in addition to the pedestrian bridge that crosses over into the southern part of downtown Birmingham.
Combine those great locations with the pristine weather we had, and we couldn’t have asked for a better setting.
When we finished with that location, we headed the short drive to Railroad Park. Maci and Marlowe ran around the spacious city park that features the skyline of Birmingham in a prominent position.
We made use of some of the more popular photography spots in the park to ensure Maci had a wide variety of photographs for her senior portrait session. It was a great spot to bring the session to a close.
I’d like to thank Maci and her family for choosing DSmithImages Wedding Photography, Portraits, and Events to photograph this lovely senior portrait session.
I also want to extend my best wishes to Maci as she gets ready to begin her senior year in high school.
