The Birmingham Botanical Gardens + Railroad Park + John’s City Diner | Birmingham, Alabama
After a bit of a lull, I was happy to get back in the photography swing of things by documenting a lovely engagement session in the Birmingham, Alabama area on December 22nd!
I met up with Rebecca and Nic, a fun young couple who will be getting married in early 2021. They wanted to do an engagement session in advance of their celebration as a way to look forward to the big day that is approaching.
We started the session by meeting at the lovely Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Blessed with ample sunlight and warm temperatures for December, the garden was a great backdrop for Rebecca and Nic.
It’s no secret that it’s also one of my favorite locations to do an engagement session, especially in the Birmingham area. No matter what time of the year it might be, the gardens provide for a great look and feel.
When we finished at the gardens, we took a quick trip over Red Mountain and headed to Railroad Park. That is where we made use of the park’s openness, which features the picturesque skyline of Birmingham as a background.
To complete this Birmingham-themed engagement session, we headed to John’s City Diner in the downtown portion of the city. You might be wondering why that location was included, but then it should be quite clear once you realize it’s the home of the “It’s Nice to Have you in Birmingham” mural.
Using that lovely piece of art was a great way to cap a fantastic engagement session. Rebecca and Nic were a blast to work with throughout the shoot, and I can’t wait to work with them on their wedding day. I know it’s going to be a fantastic experience all around!
I’d also love to talk with anyone looking to book photography for their upcoming wedding or elopement celebration. Please visit my wedding photography pricing page or fill out the form below to request a personalized quote.
