Runnymede | Charleston, South Carolina
After a bit of a much-needed break, I headed back out in the air and on the road to document another beautiful wedding. This time I visited Charleston, South Carolina to capture all the special memories for Logan and Kurt on May 15th.
The happy couple got married on the grounds of Runnymede along the banks of the Ashley River. I had previously photographed a wedding in Charleston many years ago, so it was wonderful to get a chance to come back to the area and work with such a great couple like Logan + Kurt.
The wedding day started just down the road at The Inn at Middleton Place. That is where Logan got ready with her family and friends. Once she was dressed and ready to go, we did a bridal portrait session throughout the grounds of Middleton Place. That was followed by Logan’s individual photos with her family members.
From there, the wedding day moved to the grounds of Runnymede. I met up with Kurt and did his groom’s photos along with photos featuring his family members. The couple then had a small time to rest before the fun really began.
At 6:00 P.M., Logan + Kurt were married in front of family and friends along the banks of the Ashley River. Weather conditions were absolutely perfect for a Charleston wedding in May. A close friend of the couple conducted the ceremony, which added a wonderful touch to things.
Once Logan + Kurt said vows, exchanged rings and had their first kiss, they walked down the aisle as a married couple. They then took time to do a photo session throughout the grounds of Runnymede. We made use of the absolutely pristine grounds, which were covered in old oak trees, Spanish moss, and lush greenery.
When Logan + Kurt were finished with their photos, they joined their guests for a lively reception. The couple had their first dance together and then enjoyed a delicious meal. From there, everyone partied into the evening to celebrate the happy union.
I want to thank Logan + Kurt for having me come out to Charleston to photograph their wedding. It was a beautiful day, and I want to wish them nothing but the best in their lives together.
I’d also like to thank their family + friends for showing me such warm hospitality throughout the day.
Finally, I’d like to extend a great deal of gratitude to the wonderful vendor team that made this day possible for Logan + Kurt.
