Swetha + Dan
Huntsville Botanical Gardens
October 25th, 2020
Sunday weddings are always delightful, especially when they combine two cultural celebrations. I had the pleasure of photographing just that on October 25th when I went up to Huntsville, Alabama for the wedding celebration of Swetha and Dan.
The happy couple had two celebrations throughout the day. The first celebration was at Swetha’s family’s home and included a traditional Indian wedding ceremony.
It was my second Indian wedding to photograph, and I just love how everything about the ceremony is beautiful, festive, and colorful while all designed to impart blessings to the young couple.
After the Indian ceremony and a delicious lunch, everyone shifted gears and headed to the Huntsville Botanical Gardens. This is where Swetha and Dan had their traditional western ceremony and celebration.
They did a first look in a beautiful forested portion of the Huntsville Botanical Gardens and then said their vows in front of immediate family members and close friends. Relatives from all over the world watched this celebration, along with the Indian celebration earlier in the day.
To close out the evening, Swetha’s family hosted a lovely reception back at their home. Family members and friends toasted the young couple and celebrated their union well into the evening. It was a wonderful way to cap off such a beautiful day.
I’d like to thank Swetha and Dan for having me come up to Huntsville to photograph their celebration. It was a great experience, and I want to wish them nothing but the best in their lives together.
I’d also like to thank their family and friends for showing me such warm hospitality throughout the day.
I’d also love to talk with anyone looking to book photography for their upcoming wedding or elopement celebration. Please visit my wedding photography pricing page to request a personalized quote.
