The Town of Mt. Laurel is a woodsy and quaint neighborhood in the greater Birmingham, Alabama area, and it was a perfect setting for my latest engagement session. I headed down there on the afternoon of September 6th and met up with Meg and Harrison, a happy young couple that will be getting married in January of 2021.
We started the session at Harrison’s family home in the Mt. Laurel neighborhood. Both he and Meg wanted photos to reflect their personalities and shared interests, so they decided on getting some shots of them cooking together along with Harrison playing guitar for Meg. It was a lovely way to kick-off the session.
From Harrison’s house, we went to the beautiful lake that’s accessible for the residents of Mt. Laurel. We got some photos blanketed by the wonderful natural setting, and those photos included two excellent jump shots from Meg and Harrison.
After the stop at the lake, Meg and Harrison took a stroll in the whimsical downtown area of Mt. Laurel before going back to Harrison’s home. That is where they finished up the session, clad in onesies, and playing video games… another favorite shared activity for the couple.
This was a super fun session and was the first time I photographed in the Mt. Laurel area. I’m so glad Meg and Harrison wanted to do the session there, and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in January!
