Sunday, April 26th was a busy day for DSmithImages Wedding Photography, Portraits, and Events. I’ve already shared with a beautiful portrait session, one for the Richardson family, done that day, but now I’d like to share with you the one that kicked off the morning. I drove into Tuscaloosa bright and early on April 26th to do the engagement session for Cat and Ofir.
Normally when I do engagement sessions for clients, I am also scheduled to photograph their wedding. This one, though, had to work a bit differently. You see, Cat and Ofir will be getting married next year in Israel, and because of the logistical issues involved with an international wedding, they needed to go ahead and get their engagement photos done.
I was happy to oblige that young couple, and we decided on doing the session on the banks of the Black Warrior River just after sunrise. We made use of a multitude of locations along the river walk area, and we couldn’t have asked for better conditions to do the shoot. The early spring morning was quite cooperative and the mood was just right for what Cat and Ofir wanted out of the session.
Both were incredibly easy to work with during the session, and I was more than thrilled Cat had suggestions on poses and shots. I’m always glad to see clients take an active interest in a session and have input. After all, it is their session. The two were incredibly personable throughout the morning and made for great subjects to capture.
Enjoy the photos from this lovely engagement session. I was thrilled to work with Cat and Ofir on this shoot, and I wish them nothing but the best as they plan their wedding and eventually tie the knot.
